Tips for coloring flowers

  • Color petals from the center outwards, a little darker near the middle and lighter at the tips.
  • Use two greens for leaves: a lighter one for the leaf and a darker one along the central vein.
  • Keep the background pale or leave it white so the flowers stay the focus.
  • Printing: choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog. Heavier paper (120 gsm or 32 lb and up) stops markers bleeding through.
