Tips for coloring animals

  • Lay down a light base color first, then add a darker shade along the edges for fur or feathers.
  • Follow the direction of the fur or feathers with your strokes for a natural texture.
  • Leave a tiny white spot in each eye: it brings the animal to life.
  • Printing: choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog. Heavier paper (120 gsm or 32 lb and up) stops markers bleeding through.
